Koiwai Farm was founded in 1891. We are a traditional company which has been in business for over 130 years
since our foundation. Since starting with the dairy farming and mountain forest businesses, we have now
expanded into the environmental greening, food products, tourism and restaurant businesses. All of our
employees have worked together to develop a complex business through a vertically integrated structure
centered on the agriculture, forestry and livestock industries.

The administration of public facilities was previously limited to direct management or public organizations. However, it also become possible for private businesses (including NPOs) to participate in administration with an amendment to the Local Autonomy Act.
